This is easily a family favorite around our house! So it of course helps that they offer many promotions! Have you seen their calendars? They sell a calendar that has coupons for the whole year, most months you will get a free item. The price of the calendar is recouped quickly using the coupons.

You can text to receive specials and freebies from Chick-fil-A. Text EMC to 411-247. They do not send stuff out too often, but last month they sent out a text for a free sandwich. Since all of us have a cell phone and an unlimited texting plan, we all got free sandwich. Remember charges will apply for text messages.

Still not convinced to text? That is ok, they have other promotions too. You can join the Insiders Club on the Chick-fil-A website. They will mail or email promotions to you from time to time.

Michael's Coupon

Are you doing some craft projects this holiday season? You can print a coupon to save 40% off one regular price item at Michael's Arts and Crafts. Remember to read the exclusions on the coupon, but the coupon is good until December 21.

Papa Murphy's Pizza Coupons

I have heard they have good pizza at Papa Murphy's. I saw a few coupons and thought maybe someone could use them.

That's right! December 17 is the second annual FREE Shipping Day. On December 17 there will be 500 companies that are offering FREE shipping, with delivery by December 24. That is an awesome deal, especially for all of the last minute shoppers out there. Some of the companies on the list are:

Do you text?

If you have to ask what that meant, chances are you do not text. Never fear you can start though! Texting is not just for the young anymore! You can now use your cell phone and text for many things, other than the typical BFF or LOL or maybe even FSB.

Many magazines are now offering ads that you text to receive samples, one such magazine is Lucky. Their samples usually go pretty quick too. So keep a look out for those samples and other freebies when you read your favorite magazines.

You can text to 467-467 the word SHOPTEXT and you will be able to receive samples, sweeps entries, coupons, or even shop from their service. You can check out their website for some additional information. These are some offerings currently available:

A word of caution on texting is that standard texting rates do apply. So if you do not have a texting plan on your cell phone, now is good time to check that out. If you have unlimited texting, good news is now that texting plan will pay for itself!

I have done some freebie and sample texting in the past. Usually the offers sell out quickly, or maybe I should say run out quickly because they are FREE. Some of the things I have gotten is make-up, make-up bags, shopping bags, granola bars, trail mix, lip balms and of course coupons. Many of the samples I have gotten have arrived with coupons as well.

Hallmark has a printable coupon for $5 off any purchase! Remember that is any purchase, so even a $5 purchase will give you $5 off your purchase. The coupon is good until December 24, so you can get a great deal on ornaments, cards, wrapping paper or anything else on your holiday list.

I was at Hallmark last week and was able to get 2 rolls of their wrapping paper for under $2. That is right, under $2. The wrapping paper was $4.99 a roll, then they had a special to get a second roll for $0.99. I of course had to pay tax on both rolls, but that was a great deal for wrapping paper.

Just the beginning....

Here it is, the first post of my blog all about saving money. We all work hard for our money and for the stuff we have. It is a great feeling when we can save some of our hard earned money for other things. So, if you are looking to stretch your paycheck a bit further, find a good deal, learn how to use coupons, or just curious if you can really save money and still get the stuff we all want then you have found the right place.
